The Coves Townhouse Terms & Conditions of Hire
When booking The Coves Townhouse (“the House”) you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions of hire and you are entering into a contract with Fly Island Limited (“us”, “we” or “our”). The House is a protected structure and you must treat it and its contents with the upmost of care and respect. You must ensure that the House is in the exact same condition on departure as it was on your check in.
A non-refundable booking deposit of 50% of the total cost of the booking is required to secure a reservation. A confirmation of booking will be issued upon receipt of deposit. The balance is payable four weeks prior to arrival. If the balance is not received by this date the management reserves the right to cancel the booking. For bookings made with less than four weeks to arrival, 100% non-refundable payment is required up front.
We reserve the right to refuse any booking.
If the booking is cancelled less than four weeks before arrival then a charge equal to the full 100% booking amount will be made.
If the booking is cancelled more than four weeks before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the total cost of the booking amount will be made / retained.
In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) then a charge equal to the full 100% booking amount will be made.
In the event of breakage or damage to any property in the House it will be your responsibility to promptly (no later than two working weeks) reimburse us for the full cost of the damage. Booking a stay at the House constitutes your agreement to pay any costs resulting from breakage and/or damages during your stay. If we are not reimbursed within the above timeframe we reserve the right to charge the card given on your booking.
- The fires must not be lit.
- our antique furniture needs to be treated with the upmost of care when using, please ensure you use the coasters supplied for drinks and please do not leave hot plates on any antique furniture.
- every piece of artwork hanging throughout the House is an original piece – please do not touch the artwork or attempt to move it in anyway.
- Please avoid wearing stiletto heels on the floorboards within the House as the floorboards are protected.
Arrival and Departure
Check-in is available from 3pm to 7pm on the date of arrival. The property and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. We ask that all guests contact us in advance or no later than two days before arrival date to arrange a check-in time.
Number of persons
The House accommodates groups of up to eight people in the house. The number of persons stated when booking must not be exceeded. We reserve the right to cancel the booking should this maximum guest number be exceeded.
We do not hire to stag or hen groups.
We do not allow any parties or events on the property where non-residents are attending without explicit written prior permission.
If a party is held without our permission your booking will be forfeited, you and your guest must leave immediately, no refund will be given and we reserve the right to charge for any cleaning, damage or loss that occurs as a result of the party.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas within the house. You are liable for a cleaning charge of up to €500 if any breach of this rule occurs.
Unfortunately, much as we love pets, we do not permit pets of any form in the House and its property.
On street parking is available in front of the House, parking is free from 6pm to 9am but pay and display rates apply outside of theses hours Monday through Sunday. There are two nearby public carparks at the Galway Cathedral and Dyke Road, both have daily rate of approximately €5 euro and are less than a five minute walk away. The management take no responsibility for parking. Spaces are not guaranteed.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, neither we, the owner nor our employees accept liability for any personal injury, loss or damage to you or your guests.
